Federated Auto Parts Honors First Responders During NASCAR RaceFederated members, customers and vendor partners enjoyed a great night of racing and pageantry at the 2021 NASCAR Federated Auto Parts 400 Salute to First Responders on Sept. 11. Martin Truex Jr. won the race in front of an enthusiastic Richmond Raceway crowd and nationwide television audience on NBC Sports Network.

Prior to the race, a special ceremony was held to honor and remember those impacted by the events of 9/11. As part of the ceremony, first responders from the greater Richmond area were recognized for the incredible work they perform on a daily basis.

“We were honored to be part of such a special event honoring first responders as well as remembering those impacted by a day that will never be forgotten,” said Sue Godschalk, president of Federated Auto Parts. “We want to thank all the U.S military personnel and first responders who participated in the pre-race ceremony. They truly made it a night to remember.”

Winners of the Federated Suite-Stakes contest were part of the Federated contingent that took part in the race weekend activities. The Suite-Stakes winners enjoyed a weekend of festivities, including suite seats in a skybox at Richmond Raceway to watch the race.

Federated has been the entitlement sponsor for the fall Cup Series race at Richmond since 2012 and the 2021 race marked Federated’s 26th year of involvement with NASCAR.

“We want to thank our members and vendor partners who helped make this a very memorable weekend for all involved,” said Godschalk. “We especially want to thank Dennis Bickmeier and the staff at the Richmond Raceway for all their help and for conducting such an incredible and emotional ceremony that will not be forgotten.”
