Top 20 Motor Award 2021The Group Training Academy (TGTA) has been recognized with a MOTOR Top 20 Award for its Virtual Automotive Coaching Program.

“We are very proud that another program from The Group Training Academy has been recognized for its excellence and innovation,” said Larry Pavey, CEO, Automotive Parts Services Group (The Group). “We want to thank the readers of MOTOR for voting for the Virtual Automotive Coaching Program to receive this prestigious award. Shops are seeing the benefits of virtual training and how critical this training is to professional technicians’ success.”

The TGTA Virtual Coaching Program powered by AVI uses standard video conferencing software to bring structured virtual training live to students. Held over two to six consecutive weeks and covering various automotive topics, TGTA educators present two-hour sessions to students from an automotive shop using five separate camera angles on training vehicles and props, giving a better viewing angle than a conventional live class. Attendees have access to course materials on TheGroupTrainingAcademy.com, such as supplemental study guides; archived access to lessons, quizzes and final post-tests; and certificates of program completion.

For nearly 30 years, MOTOR Magazine’s Top 20 Tools Awards have recognized the most innovative tool and equipment manufacturers in the industry. For the first time ever, MOTOR’s Top 20 is also recognizing not only tools, equipment, and other products, but any innovation, new process or solution that benefitted an industry stakeholder, employee or the community at large.
