Federated Toys for Tots Golf Outing Set for May 19 in Hawaii |
Federated Auto Parts will host its third annual Toys for Tots charity golf tournament on Friday, May 19 at the beautiful Poipu Bay Golf Resort in Hawaii. The outing will take place during the Federated national meeting. “We are extremely excited to invite our Federated membership and guests to participate in our third annual ‘Toys for Tots’ golf tournament,” said John Marcum, director of marketing for Federated. “In lieu of having the live auction, which typically follows the awards ceremony, we will concentrate our efforts with vendors and members to raise money for this very worthwhile cause with a golf outing. Vendor support has been generous for this charitable event with commitments made in Las Vegas during AWDA. We are also counting on the support of our Federated membership. We encourage donations by all members participating in the golf outing; however, a donation is not required to participate.” Adjacent to the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa on the sunny south shore of Kauai, this outstanding course is backed by lush emerald mountains and sculpted from a rolling plateau eight stories above the Pacific Ocean. Here nature and renowned golf course designer Robert Trent Jones Jr. have conspired to create a stunning venue for golfers of all abilities. Play on the same course challenged by even the best of the best professional golfers in the PGA Grand Slam of Golf from 1994 to 2006. The tournament will once again be a four man scramble with a shotgun start. If you would like to participate in this golf event, please give Mike Allen a call at (540)255-5102 or email mike.allen@federatedautoparts.com. We will need to have the name of the golfers by April 1, 2017 along with handicaps and club rental requirements. Remember, this is a charity event and we would welcome any donations that you would like to make to the Toys for Tots Charity. Please make all donation checks payable to “Marine Toys for Tots.” Since partnering with Toys for Tots over five years ago, Federated members and its vendor partners have raised over $2 million for the Toys for Tots campaign. |
