For the 12th consecutive year, participating members of the Automotive Parts Services Group (The Group) are collecting toys and monetary donations for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots campaign.
“Since we began our partnership with the Toys for Tots organization, our members have really embraced the Toys for Tots mission and have done a great job raising awareness of the program in their respective communities,” said John Marcum, director of marketing, Federated Auto Parts. “Many of our members and their customers have successfully converted Toys for Tots into a continuous, impactful program all year long. We want to thank the members of The Federated Alliance and The Pronto Network as well as our supplier partners for their generosity and continued support of the Toys for Tots campaign.”
"We are very pleased to once again welcome the Automotive Parts Services Group as a national corporate sponsor of the 2023 Marine Toys for Tots Campaign," said retired Marine Colonel Ted Silvester, vice president of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. "Their community service goals certainly align with those the Marine Corps has promoted for over 75 years through our Toys for Tots Program. With the generous support we receive from The Group and their many affiliates, we will be able to fulfill the Christmas holiday dreams of thousands of less fortunate children who otherwise might be forgotten."
Since partnering with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program in 2012, The Group, its members, and vendor partners have helped raise over $4 million for Toys for Tots. In addition to toy donations at participating locations, financial contributions can be made online by visiting The Group website at http://www.thegroupapsg.com/toys-for-tots.html and clicking on “Make a Donation.” Donors can use a credit card securely or print out a form and mail it with a check made payable to Toys for Tots. Since 1947, the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation has distributed more than 652 million toys to more than 291 million needy children.
“All donations made online or at The Group locations are distributed in the area where the toys and money are collected, allowing our members to help make the holidays brighter for deserving children in their own communities,” said Marcum.
